What was the highlight of Hotel des Galeries
„Sympathisches Hotel, familiäres Ambiente bei sehr zentraler Lage.
Die Lage ist aussergewöhnlich gut. Mitten im Zentrum und in der Nähe des Bahnhof Central, was die Anreise vom Flughafen extrem angenehm macht. Ich hatte ein Zimmer oben unter dem Dach. Es war sehr sympathisch eingerichtet, hatte ein gutes Bett und war sehr sauber. Gutes Frühstück in sympathischem Ambiente.
In der Nacht war es ein wenig laut von einer Gruppe von Leuten (bei offenem Fenster). Das ist aber zu erwarten bei dieser zentralen Lage.

„Schönes, gutes Hotel in toller Lage; leider Zimmer mit Fenster zur Galerie (keine Frischluft)...
Ein sehr schönes, gutes Hotel mit einem winzigen Eingang. Sehr freundliches Personal. Schönes Zimmer. Sauber. Bequemes Bett, gutes Bettzeug. Schönes Bad mit Badewanne und Dusche. WC getrennt.
Wir hatten Zimmer zur Galerie hin. War zwar ein toller Anblick von oben; manche finden das sicher spannend. Aber die Fenster hatten definitiv keine Schallisolierung (stand in der Beschreibung), es war abends zeitweise sehr laut. Das Fenster ließ sich zwar öffnen - aber natürlich kam keine frische Luft rein, sondern die aus der Galerie. (Ich hatte davon in Bewertungen gelesen und extra ein anderes Zimmer angefragt; hat leider nicht geklappt...) Im Zimmer war deshalb irgendwo ein Raumduft (unabhängig von der Klimaanlage), vermutlich, um die muffige Luft zu überdecken. Der war vor allem als ich schlafen wollte sehr unangenehm, weil er sehr aufdringlich war. Kosmetiktücher habe ich beim Föhn in einer Schublade im Flur gefunden - die haben extrem muffig gerochen, wie die Schublade selbst auch. Klar - das Zimmer kann insgesamt nicht gelüftet werden. Das war sehr schade. Und der "Druckverschluss" von der Badewanne hat nicht funktioniert. Habe in einer Ecke zufällig einen Silikondeckel gefunden. Das Problem war also bekannt. Musste den Verschluss aber erst mühsam raussschrauben...

„Gemütliches, wunderschön gestaltetes Stadthotel in ausgezeichneter Lage.
Der Eingang zum Hotel liegt in der Rue des Bouchers, genau da, wo diese die Galeries Royales Saint Hubert kreuzt. Das Hotel ist ein wunderschön renovierter Altbau mit einem kleinen Innenhof. Unser Zimmer ging zum Innenhof, dort ist es wunderbar ruhig, obwohl man mitten in der Stadt wohnt. Die Küche der Maison Dandoy geht direkt zum Innenhof, so dass tagsüber immer frische Waffeln zu riechen sind - das hat uns aber nicht gestört. Das Zimmer war groß und hell, sehr schönes Badezimmer. Ausserdem eine Nespresso-Maschine und ein Wasserkocher im Zimmer, Kapseln und Tee werden immer nachgefüllt. Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet, alt und neu harmonieren wunderbar.
Leider war der Schrank sehr schmal und es waren auch sonst sehr wenig Möglichkeiten, Kleidung aufzuhängen. Wir haben einmal im Hotel gefrühstückt, das Frühstück war in Ordnung.
